Even after retiring from the sport of boxing, Floyd Mayweather cannot seem to get away from the sport he loves. In addition to being part of exhibition fights, Mayweather even partakes in online feuds between musicians. Subsequently, this was seen during Chris Brown’s online altercation with Soulja Boy, which happened in 2017. The former pound-for-pound king had agreed to train Soulja Boy in preparation for a potential fight with Brown.

The feud between Brown and Soulja Boy in 2017 primarily played out on social media, particularly on Instagram and Twitter. Before Floyd Mayweather got involved, the dispute started with a disagreement over Karrueche Tran, Brown’s ex-girlfriend. The issue began with Soulja Boy liking Brown’s ex-girlfriend’s photos, and they soon began posting threatening videos to each other. This escalated into a public exchange of insults and threats, with both artists challenging each other to physical fights.

The conflict gained attention, and there were reports that they were considering organizing a celebrity boxing match to settle their differences. Furthermore, Mayweather initially got involved in the matter, stating he would promote the event. However, later, Mayweather pledged his allegiance to Soulja Boy and stated that he would train the rapper for the PPV bout against Brown.

Subsequently, things further escalated after Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Nia Guzman, uploaded a photo of their daughter and tagged Mayweather in the post. This signaled that Guzman was also approaching from the opposite side, which made Brown furious, especially since his daughter was now involved.

Mike Tyson decided to train Chris Brown

After another one of Brown’s ex-girlfriends and his daughter got involved in the feud, Brown got more serious about the fight. In addition, since Soulja Boy went to Mayweather and acquired him as a coach, Brown decided to do something similar. As such, Brown was able to bring former heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson on his side.

Later, Tyson confirmed this by uploading a video of him where he declared that he would train Brown for the fight. Furthermore, Tyson stated that he would teach Brown everything, even the dirty tricks inside the ring. Subsequently, Tyson even suggested that he teach Brown to bite his opponent in the ear.

As such, Tyson confidently stated that he would teach Brown how to knock out Soulja Boy in the fight. The fight continued to gain momentum as it moved forward, and the venue was Las Vegas. However, the situation eventually seemed to fizzle out, and the PPV fight between them never happened.
