Floyd Mayweather and Andre Ward had a chat about Jake Paul
Floyd Mayweather confirms that Andre Ward is up for fighting Jake Paul in an exhibition bout. A year ago, Paul was made fun of by many fight fans when the YouTuber was making huge claims regarding his boxing career. But after a year things have changed drastically and everybody has started to take Paul seriously.
Paul got into boxing when he and his elder brother fought Britain’s YouTubers KSI and Deji in amateur fights. Later Paul shifted to professional boxing and defeated former basketball players and UFC fighters. Paul finally got his recognition as a legitimate boxer when he dropped former UFC champion, Tyron Woodley, by a KO in their second fight.
Since then Paul has increased his involvement in the boxing business and also started his own management company. His disputes with Dana White regarding UFC contracts and his stance toward women’s boxing made him an important part of the current boxing business. Paul is yet to fight a professional boxer but it seems like it will come true as there are rumours of him fighting Tommy Fury next.

Mayweather was recently at the 2022 International Boxing Hall of Fame induction ceremony where met the legendary Andre Ward.
Later ‘ Money’ revealed that while speaking to Ward the former champion showed his interest in fighting Paul in an exhibition bout. According to reporter Michael Benson Mayweather said :
“I spoke to Andre Ward on stage at the Hall of Fame. Andre Ward said he wanted to do/he didn’t mind doing an exhibition against Jake Paul.”
It’s crazy to think that legends such as Ward and Mayweather are now talking about Paul and thinking about doing business together. Mayweather is well known for his business ideas and it will not be surprising if he gets involved in all this.
Ward in his prime was ranked the world’s best active boxer, pound for pound, by The Ring magazine and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board. His undefeated record and multiple belts in two weight classes show his capabilities. An exhibition bout between Ward and Paul is something that people will be extremely excited to see and it will definitely sell huge pay-per-views.
