Floyd Mayweather has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism for his continued support for Israel amidst the conflict with Palestine. As such, Mayweather has made it clear that he is on Israel’s side and has confirmed this by sending aid, making social media posts, and visiting the country. Recently, Mayweather again visited Israel. This time the undefeated boxer even indulged in some sparring sessions with the Israeli border police.
Mayweather travels a lot, but his trips to Jerusalem always seem to make him the happiest. Even during the tensions between Israel and Palestine, he arrived in the country. During his trip, Mayweather also visited the Israel Defense Forces base and spent time with the country’s military force. The base has a boxing ring, so Mayweather, of course, had to display his mastery inside the ring. Subsequently, the undefeated UFC star Muhammad Mokaev reacted to this by stating:
You can be 50-0, but you’ll never be like Muhammad Ali.Muhammad Mokaev via X
Mokaev has been a huge supporter of Palestine and has often spoken about the issues after his fights or on social media. As such, Mokaev threw shade at Mayweather because of his immense support for Israel. Furthermore, the UFC star stated that Mayweather has a 50-0 record but can never achieve the legacy of Muhammad Ali.
In addition, this is not the first time that Mokaev has thrown shade at Mayweather for supporting Israel. At the time, Mokaev stated that nobody would care about Mayweather’s perfect support if he was a supporter of Israel.
Floyd Mayweather received two awards from Israel
Mayweather was greeted with a lot of warmth and love by the citizens of Israel. This is mainly because he was one of the first celebrities to support them amidst the conflict with Palestine. Furthermore, Mayweather also expressed his support by sending aid to the country on his private jet.
Hence, this resulted in Mayweather receiving two awards during his recent trip. Subsequently, these were the ‘The Champion for Israel Award’ and the ‘Lifesaving Award’. During his trip, the boxer also visited the holy site called the ‘Western Wall’ and prayed for peace.
