Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou are both highly skilled athletes in their respective combat sports. They will compete in a boxing bout in Saudi Arabia. The road to the fight had its problems. Ngannou had to leave the UFC to make the fight happen. Many expressed skepticism when Ngannou left the UFC. However, the former UFC champion felt he had already won.

Francis Ngannou spoke to the media members ahead of his fight with Fury. Ngannou recollected the split with the UFC and the booking of his bout against Fury. Despite all the pressure and odds stacked against him, Ngannou felt he got the better of the situation. This is what he said:

I've been having a lot of support. That’s why, for me, this is already a success. This is already a win.

Ngannou had been enjoying his success even before the fight ended because of the money he made for fighting Fury. Furthermore, Ngannou stated that he would earn more money in this fight than in his entire UFC career.

Hence, several people doubt whether Ngannou could emerge victorious, but some believe he could defeat Tyson Fury. However, Ngannou felt no pressure because of the support and success he received from this fight.

Francis Ngannou meets Cristiano Ronaldo

Ngannou recently revealed that he had a surprise meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo before fighting Fury. Ngannou said he was “stunned” when he met Ronaldo and initially thought it was some joke.

Furthermore, Ngannou stated that he was surprised to see him since he had not seen him for a long time. Subsequently, their meeting was a coincidence because they were staying at the same hotel at the same time. In addition, a member of the footballer’s camp spotted the UFC fighter and informed Ngannou that the Portuguese star was a fan. When Ronaldo found out that Ngannou was there, he asked the Cameroonian to come to him, and that’s how they met.

The 24-year-old Cameroonian is set for what is expected to be the biggest challenge of his career when he takes on the WBC heavyweight champion of the world, Fury, in a boxing clash in Riyadh on Saturday night.
