Francis Ngannou is confident about knocking out Tyson Fury in their upcoming fight in Saudi Arabia. Fury vs. Ngannou is one of the most promising crossover boxing events in recent times. The pair is scheduled to fight on October 28th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This fight represents a significant financial opportunity for Ngannou, and some fans perceive it as primarily motivated to earn millions rather than a pure sporting contest for Ngannou as well as Fury.
However, the former UFC heavyweight champion has a different mentality and has plans to drop Tyson Fury in the boxing ring. During a recent interview with TMZSports, he said:
“He’s good at coming back up. We gonna find out how good he is — but he’s gonna hit that canvas…I’m super ready. I’m very excited about that fight. I’m getting ready. From Saturday, we’re 9 weeks out, a good amount of time to get those hands fast and strong.”
According to Ngannou, he’s preparing vigorously for the fight and will be ready to face Fury in two months. Given that the fighter is training with the legendary Mike Tyson, it would be interesting to see what he can bring to the table.
Mike Tyson is impressed by the way Francis Ngannou is training ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury
Mike Tyson has been involved in Francis Ngannou’s training for some time now and it seems all those hours of work are finally paying off. Recently, the retired boxer invited Ngannou to his podcast, Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson where the pair discussed the upcoming challenge. Tyson revealed that Ngannou is a fast learner and it’s a good habit and this will automatically help him while fighting Fury.
“We worked out yesterday and I saw a lot of good qualities,” Tyson said. “He pretty much just needs to shake off some of the cobwebs and then it’s full speed ahead. You learn pretty quick, too, which I was really impressed with.”
Ngannou in the interview mentioned that he has the capability to drop Fury with a punch but what’s tough is to find a way to land that shot. According to the fighter, he is currently working on finding ways to land that decisive shot that will drop Fury out cold.
