Gervonta Davis is a professional boxer who competes in the lightweight division. The fighter has gained immense popularity throughout the years. His speed and power have been a force to be reckoned with for his opponents. ‘Tank’ amasses a record of 29 wins, with 27 of those coming by way of knockout. With zero losses on his record, Davis is yet to be defeated by contenders in the sport. He has fought and emerged victorious against formidable opponents like Ryan Garcia and Mario Barrios.

Fellow lightweight boxers Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis have had a longstanding beef. Considering their accolades as fighters, they have been compared to each other throughout their career. A potential fight between Haney and Davis is considered the best in terms of a stylistic match-up. The two fighters always jab at each other on social media despite the fight not being set.

In an interview, Gervonta Davis went off on the host when the possibility of Devin Haney beating him in a fight was brought up. “Them n***** [Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson] cannot touch me,” said ‘Tank.’ He continued, “They all been in the ring with me. And, I cracked both of them.” Then, the host offered his opinion on the fights being a 50/50 possibility. To which Davis immediately said, “Ain’t no 50/50 fight n****. How you gon keep me off and you ain’t got no power.“

Finally, the last straw for Gervonta was when a sparring session between Haney and him was mentioned. “You know I sparred him twice. The first time, his father took him out the ring. I almost knocked him out in Floyd [Floyd Mayweather] gym. Did they tell you that!? Tell Devin and his daddy, get off my d***,” said Gervonta Davis. The rivalry has been brewing for a sustainable amount of time regardless of the fight being finalized.

Adrien Broner is known to be good friends with Gervonta Davis. Disregarding the fallout between the fighters, Broner has gone on to speak highly of ‘Tank.’ Both fighters can be seen cordial with each other despite the differences they had in the past.

The fighter also seems to have intel on the beef between Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney. Their infamous sparring session has been a topic of debate for both teams. Adrien Broner, however, offered his point of view on the sparring that he witnessed.

“He [Gervonta Davis]sparred Devin. [Devin Haney] It’s packed, it’s hot. They get in there. Tank hit that n****. Then he hit him again and he went out. I jumped in the ring because, at the time, Devin was seventeen. He calmed down and they got back to working and Tank got a little bit more fatigue,” said Adrien Broner.

Adrien Broner is on the side of Gervonta Davis regarding their sparring session. Despite announcing his retirement, Broner is set to fight Bill Hutchinson in his next bout.
