The fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis was one of the most anticipated fights this year and both fighters gave fans an amazing bout. The fight went for seven rounds, and Davis was mostly in control of it and didn’t give Garcia any chances to bounce back.
Finally, the fight was stopped by the referee when a nasty body shot from Davis forced Garcia to take a knee. After the fight during the post-fight press conference, ‘Tank’ was asked about the bet that both fighters made on giving up their whole fight purse after losing.
“Nah he can take the money. He could take it,” Davis said when asked about it as he wanted Garcia to keep his money and forget the bet. It was a relatively easy fight for Davis who wasn’t in any kind of trouble throughout the fight, Garcia failed to land his left hook and ultimately lost the fight.
Ryan Garcia wasn’t 100 percent going into the fight with Gervonta Davis

Before the fight the discussion about the bet was quite serious however, later Ryan Garcia mentioned that he wouldn’t take Gervonta Davis’s money even after knocking him out. Well, Garcia failed to win the fight but Davis who was serious about the bet chose to let it go as a true sportsman.
Garcia didn’t look impressive at all in the fight and the way he lost made fans question his intent and determination for fighting. Talking about the loss, Garcia told the media that he wasn’t at his best and was a little weak due to the rehydration clause but that’s what he signed in for.
“In my honest perception of it, I didn’t feel too good. I felt a little weak going into the ring. My legs didn’t feel like they were under me. I signed the contract, and that’s that,” said Garcia in the post-fight press conference.
It was Garcia’s first-ever professional loss and it’s a big one but fans believe that the fighter does have the potential to bounce back after he works on his weaknesses.
