Hasim Rahman Jr has done his best from his side to let the world know Jake Paul was as ready as him for the bout on August 6th. The MSG headline was canceled a week before the fight, allegedly due to Rahman refusing to make weight.

While Paul and his team came out with the allegations that Rahman never intended to make weight, Hasim’s team simply pointed out that it was very unusual that the fight would be called off before he even had the chance to make weight during the final week.

Many had given props to Jake for fighting Rahman as he would’ve been the first professional boxer on his resume. In Jake’s struggle to find legitimacy in boxing, Hasim was levels above YouTubers or former basketball players. The WBC even announced that they would include Jake in their rankings if he were to beat Hasim.

According to Rahman, all that caught up to Jake on fight week and he realized he may have bitten off more than he can chew. While the bout was agreed at 200lbs, it was later changed to 205 lbs. On Friday, Rahman Jr publicly weighed in at 206 lbs, missing weight by a pound. The contract stated in the event of this happening, Hasim would have to forfeit his purse, something the boxer has said he’s comfortable doing on social media.

Today in his ongoing assault on the reputation of Jake Paul, Hasim played the classics. During their heated first and only press conference, Hasim talked a lot about how sparring sessions with Jake, might have just inflated the YouTuber’s ego. He accused Jake of sparring like it’s a sanctioned fight, calling his behavior to be that of an “Amateur A**hole”

Another big accusation Hasim laid on Jake was that the moment Rahman started working back with the same level of intensity, Jake started running away. This was enhanced by Rahman himself providing background music, singing “She’s a runner she’s a track star” during the press conference.

Today Rahman finally posted a glimpse of the infamous sparring session that proved his point. The caption read, “Never in the history of boxing has someone pulled out a fight a week in advance over weight issues. I tried to tell y’all, he’s a runner he’s a track star”

In the video Jake can be seen trying to land a right cross but gets caught with a hook from Rahman that almost sends him to the ropes, just as Rahman is about to land his followups, Jake visibly runs away from the boxer. The video is accompanied by the actual song, which simply adds to the hilarity.
