“They want to put pressure on me”- Hasim Rahman Jr talks about the dirty tactics from Jake Paul’s team before their boxing match

Hasim Rahman Jr x Jake Paul

Hasim Rahman Jr has the opportunity of a lifetime against Jake Paul to make his name ring forever in the world of boxing if he manages to free the sport from the tainted 5 fight win streak of the YouTuber.

Rahman Jr came into the picture a few days after Tommy Fury was denied access to the USA late last month, due to his stable’s links to the Kinahan Cartel. This meant the fight between the two pretty boys was called off a second time, to salvage what was left of the event, hardly 3 days after Tommy’s initial announcement, Rahman was already gearing up to lace up the gloves.

When the opportunity came knocking, Hasim took it without hesitating, but he revealed that Jake’s team tried every dirty tactic in the book to make him feel the pressure, and possibly fumble the bag against Paul.

Talking on The MMA Hour, Hasim revealed how Jake’s team presented him with the offer, he said, “You have to respond within 45 minutes, before the top of the hour, or the offer’s off, and you’ll never get the opportunity to fight Jake Paul again.”

Talking about their tactics, he said, “They are that scared that they want to put that much pressure on me to make the weight to say you’re going to lose 25 percent for every pound you’re over.”

Talking about the infamous sparring footage between these two, he said, “I was going to tell him, ‘In boxing, this don’t count, the sparring don’t count.’ But to Jake, sparring is like a fight, because obviously he has no amateur experience. So if he’s doing well against a professional, he’s thinking, ‘Oh, I can really do this, I can really do this to a guy.’”
