Misfits Boxing was established and launched in 2021 by Kalle Sauerland, Nisse Sauerland, KSI, and Mams Taylor. Since its launch in 2021, Misfits has co-promoted several boxing events with Wasserman Boxing, and KSI has headlined a few of them.

Most recently, in October 2023, KSI took on Tommy Fury, the younger brother of heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. However, the influencer boxing promotion has been the target of criticism from the PBA.

The PBA has now revoked its promoter licenses due to repeated violations of the rules. They are majorly related to concerns about the safety of boxers and the perception that the sport has been tarnished by KSI‘s promotion company.

Boxing’s governing body took to Twitter on January 12th to share the news with the world. Subsequently, they highlighted a series of rules violations that had damaged the reputation of the sport and the safety of boxers.

In addition, after announcing that Misfits’ promoter license will be suspended, the PBA also announced that a disciplinary hearing will be conducted. As per reports, Misfits had scheduled an event in Leeds on January 20th alongside TikTok sensation Ed Matthews. However, the event may not go forward as planned after the recent announcement.

While the news of the license suspension came as a surprise to many, Taylor is optimistic about the future of the promotion. Furthermore, Taylor stated that misfits will be partnering up with a new governing body.

Kalle Sauerland reveals potential venue for KSI vs Jake Paul

While Misfits’ future remains ambiguous with all the developments, Sauerland has made an announcement recently. The misfit promoter, Sauerland, spoke about the possibility of the Jake Paul vs. KSI fight and its potential venue. The duo has been beefing with each other for several years, but they are yet to enter the ring.

Before Paul, his brother, Logan Paul had a rivalry with KSI, which they settled after influencer-boxing matches. Subsequently, they became partners, and the trend of influencer boxing began, but Jake never got along with KSI.

Furthermore, they engaged in negotiations but instead, they ended up fighting, professional boxers, Fury one after the other. In addition, Sauerland revealed that they would love to make the fight happen at the famous Sphere, located in Vegas.

Sauerland also remarked that the fight would happen when the time was right and did not give any official confirmation. Hence, the highly anticipated clash between Paul and KSI can potentially happen in the future at The Sphere.
