Jake Paul has earned the title of the professional boxer. He’s undefeated and has knocked out some tough opponents. Despite the fact that he has battled former MMA fighters and boxing champions in the ring, Jake turned pro in 2020 and has shown tremendous development and potential since then.

However, there are some limitations to how much Jake Paul and his recent glory can be credited. He’s been criticizing Conor Mcgregor, Mike Tyson, and Canelo, among others.

Paul has stated several times that he wants to fight the pound-for-pound king. He recently revealed the true reason behind this, however. ‘The Problem Child’ claimed in a recent interview with Fight Hub TV that Canelo Alvarez has been avoiding big battles, which makes him want to fight the Mexican.

Paul stated, “Canelo is ducking a lot of people. Fight Benavidez, fight Charlo, why aren’t those fights happening and you know, he’s not fighting any really big names, these guys are relatively unheard of. That’s why I wanna get my hands on Canelo as well. I think that will be a massive, massive pay-per-view and massive, massive entertainment spectacle.”

Eddie didn’t hold back while discussing Paul’s boxing abilities at a recent joint media scrum while he was complimentary to a degree, he made it clear to Jake that he has yet to face genuine competition. Hearn stated, “I don’t believe you’ll ever get close to being a world-class fighter,”

To which, Paul asserted that any fighter on Hearn’s big roster with less than 10 fights on his record will be defeated by him. It’s a challenge Hearn readily accepts, claiming that there will be no shortage of “serious fighters” eager to take on Paul. Then he further went made a wild comment stating, “Give me a couple of years bro, I’ll beat your boy Canelo.”

Eddie co-promotes Canelo fights and Jake has shown his interest in squaring up against him, for that reason, he claimed that in front of him. However, that is very unlikely that even in the next two years Jake would be competent to put up a competitive fight against him. However, one can respond to that in the words of Eddie Hearn in the same discussion, “Everyone is entitled to their dreams.”
