Jake Paul set to fight MMA Legend Anderson Silva in Late October

Silva and Paul are rumoured to be headlining a card in late October
Jake Paul is rumored to be facing off against MMA legend Anderson Silva. Recently Paul had a very tough time getting a fight made between himself and two opponents both of which had to be called off for reasons yet unclear.
Paul was originally supposed to face the younger brother of Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury, Tommy at the Madison Square Garden. However that didn’t take long to come crashing down as Tommy, like his brother Tyson was denied entry into the US, most likely because of their connections with mobster and cartel head, Daniel Kinahan. While the younger Fury was willing to face Paul in England, the YouTuber did not find the offer to be lucrative enough.
It is after this that Jake was booked to fight a former sparring partner of his, Hasim Rahman Jr. The son of a former heavyweight champion, Rahman Jr would have been the first professional boxer on Jake’s record. The duo even had a heated press conference where Rahman alleged that Paul and his team wanted him to spar Paul with a handicap.
The contract for the fight also included a clause that Rahman Jr will have to make weight at 200 lbs with a restrictive rehydration clause. When Rahman Jr was found to be 15 lbs over the limit at the start of fight week, the event was called off in its entirety in a bizarre series of events.
Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva is targetted for October 29th

Unlike these young guns, Anderson is a much more reliable opponent who knows what it’s like to shine under the brightest of lights. While some in the boxing community were upset because of the YouTuber’s choice to go back to fighting older MMA fighters, the combat sports fandom at large was relieved considering Silva has been nothing but incredible ever since he made his return to the squared circle.
Paul himself has been teasing for the past few days that a fight announcement is around the corner and that the opponent will impress many. Now according to multiple sources chief of whom are NoSmokeBoxing and longtime Paul hypeman, KeemstarKeemstar, Paul is set to face Silva on the 29th of October at a TBD venue.
Silva is no joke in the boxing ring as it was his elusive striking that got him to the top of the UFC where he still holds the record for the longest win streak with 16. Apart from this he also defended his middleweight championship a record, 10 times. More recently he has been making waves in boxing, notably for his total shutdown of former boxing Champion, Julio Ceasar Chavez Jr on a card headlined by his father.
Paul who has yet to face an actual professional boxer will face his toughest challenge yet while staying in his modus operandi of matching up against older fighters of a different sport in Anderson. How do you think the fight will play out? Let us know below!
