Jake Paul to fight Hasim Rahman Jr in boxing match

Jake Paul has grown tired of trying to book a fight against Tommy Fury. The Youtube sensation is looking to move past that matchup and fight the son of boxing legend, Hasim Rahman Jr. Talks are in place between the two parties to finalize the fight.

Jake Paul is serious about returning to the boxing ring this year. The fighter previously mentioned last year that he is training to fight Tommy Fury after their initial fight got canceled following the UK boxer’s injury. The much-anticipated matchup was once again booked for a fight this year but the Fury brother has once again pulled out.

This fight was very much looked forward to by the YouTube sensation given the history between the two fighters. Now, Jake has looked past that matchup and is looking to fight Hasim Rahman Jr. who is the son of former heavyweight champion, Hasim Rahman. Hasim is a professional boxer with a record of 12-1. The fighter has six knockouts in his career.

Boxing editor for Talk Sport wrote in a recent tweet that the two fighters are looking to fight next month on the 6th. “Jake Paul is reportedly now in talks to face Hasim Rahman Jr as a replacement for Tommy Fury on Aug 6th. Rahman Jr is 12-1 as a pro and son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman. It’s claimed they are in the process of “finalising a deal”. [According to @SIChrisMannix]”

Jake has really been involved in the boxing world since his last fight against Tyron Woodley. The fighter has now started his own boxing promotion called the Most Valuable Promotion which manages legendary boxer, Amanda Serrano. Jake was one of the main reasons why the historic boxing match between Amanda and Katie Taylor materialized. Jake played a vital role in the first-ever women’s boxing match to headline an event at the amazing Madison Square Garden in New York.

Jake is now 5-0 as a professional boxer but is yet to solidify a win against a professional boxer. His last five wins have come against, two former MMA champions, one retired basketball player, and a fellow Youtuber. It seems though that we might never get to see Jake fighting Tommy Fury.
