“Can’t sell pen to a writer,” Jake Paul trashes on opponents for incapacity in promoting fights for the fans
Jake Paul
Youtuber-cum-boxer Jake Paul has been doing a flawless job in securing the victories as well as in promoting his fights, but looks like he is disappointed in his opponents for their lack in promotional skills. Paul is a 5-0 undefeated professional boxer who has knockout wins over the likes of former MMA champions, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. Paul is also the co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions alongside his manager Nakisa Bidarian.
On August, 6, 2022, Paul is going to headline a boxing event at Madison Square Garden in New York, United States when he will face the toughest challenge of his career so far in Hasim Rahman Jr, a 12-1 boxer with 6 knockout wins and son of former heavyweight champion of the world, Hasim Rahman Sr. Rahman Jr and Paul are also former sparring partners who exactly started to having a rivalry with each other after one of their sessions.
Jake Paul is in the hospital whilst trying to sell a fight, or is he?
Jake Paul took to Twitter to promote his aforementioned fight against Rahman Jr and not only did he took a jab at Rahman Jr, but he also trashed all his previous opponents for not promoting the fights against him and sarcastically complained about how he has to carry all the responsibility for promoting the fight. This all happened in a video and Paul said in the caption “Had a little accident but will still be able to fight August 6th. Get your tickets”
In the video Jake Paul said “So guys, I’m in the hospital, I had an accident, I’m still gonna be able to fight August 6 so get your tickets at MSG.com before they sell out. But, I broke my back, carrying the promotion for this event… I broke my back carrying the last five fights’ promotion, my opponents never sell sh*t… These motherf**kers never sell Sh*t! They couldn’t sell a pen to a writer.”
What do you make of Paul’s another hilarious video and the message he wants to give to his opponents of selling the fights? Do you think Paul has a point or should the fighters be just focusing on fighting and not other miscellaneous things such as promotional work? Who do you think wisn between Paul and Hasim Rahman Jr? Who do you think will be Paul’s next opponent after the Rahman Jr fight?
