“You ain’t paying me enough”- Jake Paul’s sparring partner lifts the lid on why he was kicked off the team

Jake Paul training partner Elie Augustama accused the youtuber turned boxer to kick him out of the boxing gym after a heated argument. Paul is currently in Puerto Rico where he lives along with his brother Logan. The 25 year old reportedly is in the middle of a training camp for his upcoming boxing match on August 13.

The name of his opponent is still not declared but it is being assumed that Tommy Fury will fight Paul in the bout. The pair had plans to fight each other last year but it didn’t go according to plan. Fury suffered a chest infection and former UFC champion, Tyron Woodley came in as a substitute. Paul defeated Woodley via a brutal KO and maintained his undefeated record.

Since then Paul has gained more attention and fans who are finally accepting as a legit boxer. But still not having a proper boxer in his resume of his same weight is still something the fighter will like to change. To do that, there is currently no other fighter than Fury who ticks all the boxes. In order to prepare for the fight, Paul and his team are now spending most of their time at Paul’s secretive training base.

Elie Augustama accuses Jake Paul of disrespecting him

Augustama is a boxer from Florida and was hired by Paul to be his sparring partner.
According to Augustama, during their recent training session, Paul frequently committed a foul which led to a heated argument and exchange of words between both the individuals. After that the coaches got involved and Augustama was expelled from the gym.

After that incident, Augustama shared a video on his official Instagram account about what happened during the sparring. He said :

“So I just finished putting in this work. Why am I the one to get under everybody’s skin. I ain’t going to gaslight nobody. You paid me to work and you ain’t paying me enough motherf***er…You want to be disrespectful just because you tried to hurt my neck because I was giving you work? You’ve got me by 40lb my guy, I already gave you your flowers, I already gave you your respect, if you want, I will fight you tomorrow Jake Paul!,”

Augustama was scheduled to return home Friday even before the incident took place but now it’s clear that he will be coming back soon. Paul has not released any statement regarding the incident but hopefully he will do afterwards.
