Joe Rogan dragged into Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti war after ‘mouthful’ criticism in podcast

The brawl that ensued in the John Gotti III fight with Floyd Mayweather has remained among the major headlines for the last couple of days. After Conor McGregor backed up Gotti III, another huge MMA personality voiced out on the exhibition fight featuring Floyd Mayweather. Gotti III called out UFC color commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan for discussing the chaotic brawl.
The exhibition bout between Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III ended in a chaotic brawl due to the latter’s antics. The referee warned Gotti III to refrain from trying to hold Mayweather during the bout. However, a failure in complying from Gotti III’s side led to referee Kenny Bayless ending the bout in the sixth round. Bayles handed a disqualification to John, which turned out to be useless as the New York-based fighter shoved the referee aside. Gotti III then charged Mayweather despite the stoppage, causing a huge brawl.
Joe Rogan, on the latest episode of his podcast, discussed the same with guest Ali Siddiq. “Floyd is just piecing him up. Even at 46, he’s the greatest of all time and this kid is an MMA fighter. He caught Floyd a couple of times with some little shots. He was holding on quite a bit and wouldn’t let go and was trying to hold and clinch and hit which is something you can do in MMA so he’s protecting himself from Floyd,” said Rogan.
However, John did not seem to agree with Rogan’s verdict fully. He took to his Instagram story and corrected Rogan. “Joe Rogan, it was mutually called for both of us cursing at one another. Those are the only two moments I clinched the fight. You still the man though,” posted Gotti III. John Gotti III as of now serves a 6-month suspension from entering the ring. Yet, he is ready to go at it again with Floyd Mayweather.
After causing a huge brawl, John Gotti III wants a rematch with Floyd Mayweather
John Gotti III ranted about Floyd Mayweather yet again. The recent exhibition bout between Mayweather and the Mafia-connected fighter was in turmoil due to Gotti III’s actions. Referee Kenny Bayless warned John of clinching Mayweather and the trash-talking. Yet, the New York-based fighter failed to comply and got disqualified in the sixth round.
Despite the fight coming to an unusual end, John Gotti III shoved the referee aside and charged at Mayweather. A huge brawl ensued due to Gotti III’s antics, and several blows were traded between the training camps of both fighters. John Gotti III threatened Mayweather on social media but also got suspended for six months. Now, after the ill-fated incident, John has called for a rematch with Floyd.
“The majority spoke you fucking pineapple. Let’s do it again, this time your whole team getting left in the street Floyd Mayweather. Me and this girl run it back in New York. Who in? This time I’m bringing heavy hitters,” posted John on his Instagram account. He also added a few more stories taking shots at the undefeated boxer. Despite the hype, a possible rematch would be risky yet very profitable for Floyd’s team.
