Young boxing prodigy fighting out of England Tommy Fury is going to face an elevated competition by fighting another European boxing prodigy Daniel Bocianski. So while Fury is yet to prove how good of a boxer he is as proven by his family background, his father, John Fury is already seeing some elements of a future legend of boxing in his younger son. John’s elder son, Tyson Fury, is the WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion of the world with an undefeated record of 31-0 and a draw.

Tommy Fury, on the other hand, is also undefeated with a record of 7-0, but he has been often doubted for the level of competition he has fought. Fury’s primary shot to fame lies in his participation in a famous TV show called Love Island and also having been booked against Youtuber-cum-boxer Jake Paul for a boxing bout last year, which couldn’t happen due to Fury’s injury.

Fury’s father John Fury will see both of his sons competing on the same card for the first time. On April 23, 2022, at Wembley Stadium, London, England, John’s elder son Tyson is looking forward to defending his WBC heavyweight title in a title unification bout against another British boxer Dillian Whyte. While this fight happens in the main event, on the undercard, younger son Tommy will be facing the aforementioned Polish boxer Daniel Bocianski.

In an interview on boxing promoter Frank Warren’s Youtube channel, John said “This kid [Tommy] can go all the way and I believe in him. He’s sharp, he’s strong. I also see shades of Golovkin in there as a younger man.” John is here comparing his younger son to Kazakhstani boxer Gennady Golovkin. Golovkin is considered by many as one of the greatest boxers of this generation and one of the greatest Asian boxers of all time.
