Last undisputed heavyweight champion will be the guest of honour at Tyson Fury Vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight
In the undisputed heavyweight title fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, the previous undisputed champion, Lennox Lewis, will be present as a guest of honor.

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will be fighting for the undisputed heavyweight title on February 17th. Furthermore, the bout will be conducted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the name ‘Ring of Fire’ Event. Subsequently, both heavyweight champions remain undefeated. As such, one of the fighters will suffer the first defeat of his professional career. In addition, the previous undisputed champion, Lennox Lewis, will be present at the event as a guest of honor.
The importance of this fight for the world of boxing cannot be understated. Furthermore, this will be the first undisputed heavyweight title fight since 1999, which Lennox Lewis won. Subsequently, this will be the first time an undisputed heavyweight champion is crowned in the four-belt era.
Because of the significance of the event, Lewis, the last undisputed heavyweight champion, will be present for the fight. In addition, boxing journalist Michael Benson stated, “Lennox Lewis, boxing’s last undisputed heavyweight world champion, will be a “guest of honor” at Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk and will represent the WBC in crowning the new undisputed champion, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said.”
Fury has been one of the most dominant heavyweight boxers of all time and has remained undefeated. Subsequently, Fury has a record of 34-0-1 with 24 KOs and has notably defeated Deontay Wilder, twice. Simultaneously, Usyk has also been an upcoming formidable force in the heavyweight division.
Furthermore, Usyk has a record of 21-0 with 14 KOs, and he has notable victories over Anthony Joshua twice. In addition, Fury currently holds the WBC title, which he acquired from Wilder, while Usyk won the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles from Joshua.
Lennox Lewis’s undisputed heavyweight title fight
Lewis became the undisputed heavyweight champion on November 13, 1999, when he faced Evander Holyfield in a highly anticipated rematch. The first bout between Lewis and Holyfield took place on March 13, 1999, and ended in a controversial split draw. However, the decision led to demands for a rematch, which was scheduled for later that year.
In the rematch, held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lewis defeated Holyfield by unanimous decision. The judges scored the bouts 116–112, 117–111, and 115–113 in favor of Lewis. With this victory, Lewis unified the WBC, IBF, and WBA heavyweight titles, becoming the undisputed champion.
Subsequently, Lewis retired from professional boxing in 2004 with a record of 41 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. His accomplishments include winning an Olympic gold medal in 1988 and becoming a three-time world heavyweight champion.
