Matchroom’s Frank Smith believes the Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte 2 rematch is going to be a huge fight and can bring in 1 million PPV buys. Next month, eight years after their previous battle, Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte are going to renew their serious rivalry. The last time both faced each other, Joshua defeated Whyte in the seventh round of that fight to capture the British heavyweight title, paving the path for him to win the crown twice.
Frank Smith has high hopes for this fight and according to him, this fight will draw one million PPV buys, making it the biggest fight ever.“I think this can do anywhere between seven hundred thousand to a million,” said Frank Smith to iFL TV when asked how many PPV buys.
Smith continued: “No, I want it to do the numbers I’ve set….No one else has done that, and this fight has all of the ingredients to create a build-up to hit those numbers.” The expectations from the fight are massive Smith, however, considering the response from fight fans, the numbers are astonishing.

Heavyweight boxer who fought both Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte makes his prediction
The best-qualified person to comment on the upcoming fight between Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte on August 12 is probably Jermaine Franklin. The American heavyweight fought Whyte for 12 rounds in November of last year, losing by a razor-thin margin on points, and then suffered a similar fate against Joshua earlier this year.
“I think Joshua will beat Whyte. I don’t think it’ll be a hard fight for Joshua,” said Franklin in an interview. He added: “It was a little harder for Joshua to punch me ’cause it’s harder for bigger guys to punch down than it is for shorter guys to punch up, but you know when you’re taller, some of those shots are easier to get off. Yeah, I think beats Dillian.”
Franklin is quite confident about AJ beating Whyte easily. After losing to Tyson Fury last year, Whyte beat Franklin via majority decision to gain his winning momentum. Nevertheless, it’s definitely going to be an interesting contest.
