During the 1980s, Mike Tyson was the youngest heavyweight champion in the world and the most feared man. At the time, Tyson was in his prime and reportedly even had an altercation with basketball star Michael Jordan. Furthermore, the alleged incident was popularized by Tyson’s former agent, Rory Holloway. Holloway chronicled Tyson’s life in a book called “Taming the Beast.” Years later, the book was used as one of the sources for the story of Mike Tyson’s near-fight with Michael Jordan. 

The beef was mainly about Mike Tyson’s ex-wife, Robin Givens, who had dated Jordan before being with Tyson. According to Holloway’s book, Givens had cheated on Mike Tyson with Jordan, and after the divorce, Tyson once attended a birthday party. Subsequently, Tyson got drunk at the party, and because of the divorce, he lashed out at everyone, including Jordan.

However, the incident appears to be fake since comedian Aries Spears debunked the myth during an interview with DJ Vlad. Furthermore, Spears stated:

The topic started after Vlad and Spears discussed the incident where Givens cheated on Tyson with Brad Pitt. Subsequently, Spears stated that Tyson was angry at Jordan because of the same thing. However, Vlad responded by stating that he asked Tyson these questions, and Tyson claimed that it never happened. 

Furthermore, Vlad stated that Tyson is a very honest person who has always told the truth, so Vlad believes it is a rumor. Spears stated by bringing up how the common narrative is that Tyson and Jordan were at a gathering and they had some beef.

While Spears and Vlad cleared up this alleged rumor, there is still the incident that happened with Pitt. Both discussed how Givens was still with Tyson and she was cheating on him in their house. Subsequently, Vlad hilariously remarked that Givens was wary of doing such a thing because of Tyson’s reputation.

In addition, Speared stated that Pitt would visit Tyson’s house while he wasn’t there and would sleep with Givens. Furthermore, one day Tyson returned and spotted the Hollywood star through the window. After this, while Pitt was leaving the premises, he requested and begged Tyson not to punch him in the face. 

Surprisingly, even though Tyson was very hot-headed during his prime, he did not do anything to Pitt. Spears stated that Tyson may have said a few things to Pitt but did not raise his hands.
