Mike Tyson has acted in a handful of films. The legendary boxer recently promoted his upcoming role on Instagram. The film features Academy Award-winning actor Sean Penn in one of the lead roles. Despite boasting an all-star cast, Tyson’s booming and authoritative voice stole the show.
The film Asphalt City tells the story of young paramedic Ollie Cross, played by Tye Sheridan. Sean Penn’s character is partnered with Sheridan’s character in the film. Asphalt City follows Ollie Cross as he faces the harsh world of New York City nightlife. In this fictional world, each 911 call remains a life-and-death situation. Mike Tyson shared the trailer on Instagram. This is what he wrote:

In the trailer, Tyson looks like a serious police officer on the job. Tyson dragged Sheridan’s character to the police station. The cast is also interesting since Tyson and Penn have remained good friends for several years and even went on double dates together. Recently, UFC star Conor McGregor represented the combat sports world in the film Road House. McGregor received a positive response from the fanbase for his performance. Similarly, Mike Tyson appears to have done an excellent job in the film.
Furthermore, Tyson is also reportedly working on a superhero movie called Bunnyman. The legendary boxer has kept himself busy over the years. No one will ever forget his appearance on the Hangover series. Combat sports fans would tune in the watch the film starring their favorite boxer. The film will be released on 29 March 2024.
Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson on Netflix can become a professional bout
Netflix has recently entered the combat sports business. They will have the pleasure of livestreaming a unique boxing bout. The bout features Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
Mike Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. He received an offer to fight MMA legend Chael Sonnen in the boxing ring. However, Tyson chose to stay on the sidelines for the next three years. In 2024, he decided to accept a lucrative deal to box Jake Paul in Texas.
Recent rumors suggest the bout will not have an exhibition-style ruleset. Instead, both Paul and Tyson want to fight in a professional bout. Only time will tell if the bout becomes professional or has an exhibition ruleset like many anticipated.
