According to multiple reports, Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, could potentially fight MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko. Furthermore, the fight will be a boxing event in Saudi Arabia. Emelianenko is a 47-year-old Russian MMA fighter whose most recent bout in the Octagon took place in February 2023. Similarly, the 57-year-old Tyson’s last fight was an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. on November 29, 2020. Emelianenko’s MMA record is 41-7-1, while Tyson’s professional boxing record is 50-6.

When he lost to Ryan Bader in Bellator 290, Emelianenko made it clear that he was done in MMA. However, Emelianenko didn’t mean fighting in general. As such, he also expressed his desire to fight Mike Tyson in an interview with the MMA Hour. Additionally, the news of the fight was shared by MMA Pack, which stated, “Mike Tyson vs. Fedor Emelianenko boxing match negotiations are underway and targeted for later this year in Saudi Arabia.”

Without a doubt, Tyson can get back into physical shape if the fight with Emelianenko happens. Furthermore, Tyson has previously bounced back in terms of his physical fitness after being overweight and having an addiction problem. Similarly, Tyson also managed to get back into fighting shoes when he faced Jones in 2020.
