Mike Tyson is undoubtedly a living legend and is considered one of the most dominant fighters in the history of boxing. Tyson was a beast and gave fight fans some of the most vicious knockouts of that era and gained massive popularity.
Now decades after his retirement, Tyson is still respected a lot in the boxing community and his humbleness speaks for himself. However, everything wasn’t that smooth for ‘Iron Mike’. Tyson suffered a lot in his life from drug abuse, bullying, legal charges, jail time, losing his daughter etc. However, the legend is currently one of the best motivational speakers out there on the internet.
While talking about drugs. Mike Tyson in a podcast with Joe Rogan confirmed that he got into them at the age of nine. According to him, after that, he also started taking LSD.
He said: “Um, kid. Ten years old, nine years old. Smoking and drinking. Then when I got older I tried acid. Prolly eleven, yeah I was young.”
Currently, Tyson likes to spend his time getting high of weed and mushrooms. Tyson’s mushroom stories are very famous on the internet.

In one of his podcasts, He said: “Mike Tyson in his prime. In those years from like 86-87-88-90, whatever those years were where he was just storming the gates. I’d put that Mike Tyson up against anybody who ever lived. That guy was a special fighter. He was just a juggernaut, just you couldn’t stop him. He was a different guy, it’s like a different model of fighter that we have ever seen in the heavyweight division before. A fucking destroyer man, where every fight was an execution.“
The things Rogan mentioned are certainly true and after Tyson, no one has had a similar impact on the boxing world. It’s hard to expect any fighter in future to come with the same intensity and ferociousness as Tyson.
