Nate Diaz has had a contentious history with various groups of people. Whether it’s MMA fighters, influencers like Jake Paul, or organizers like the UFC, Nate doesn’t seem to care to a certain extent. Recently, Nate explained why he complained about fighter pay despite being well off.

In a recent interview on The Pat McAfee Show, Nate Diaz talked about his motive for fighting Jake Paul. Nate Diaz dismissed rumors that he needed the money through the crossover boxing event. According to Diaz, he had already executed the idea of “doubling up” on his money through perfectly orchestrated fights over the years. So, YouTubers getting in on the action now is nothing new, as he has already made a lot of money in the UFC with the same tactics. Diaz pursued such an approach to the UFC because he felt underpaid in fights.

The UFC star is somewhat of an unorthodox fighter and individual. He made a name for himself amongst the fans by calling big fighters for a matchup. Diaz’s many physical altercations on the streets led fans to deem him degenerate. His promotion of marijuana does not sit well with most fighters. It’s reasonable to conclude that Nate Daiz is not the most polite or considerate fighter in combat sports.

Whether Nate Diaz and Jake Paul get paid enough through their boxing event, it must be ensured that other professional boxers on the card make decent money. The revenue must be distributed among the fighters involved in the event. Combat sports is a cruel but exciting sport; therefore, the fighters willing to step into the cage/ring must be rewarded appropriately.

Former UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal is one of the few people who was a friend to both Nate Diaz and Jake Paul in the past. Masvidal may have a better idea of who the better fighter could be between Nate and Jake. The matchup between Diaz and Paul remains highly anticipated, and many experts are curious to see the outcome between the two fighters.

Jorge Mavidal said, “Jake Paul has a lot of advantages.” However, Masvidal also asserted that Jake never fought someone with a “no quit” attitude. The former BMF champion believes that Jake must knock Nate out to secure the win. This can only happen if Jake worked on his cardio and lasted more than 3 to 4 rounds against Diaz.

The question of cardio remains widely debated by fans and experts alike for the matchup. Diaz must work on his technical prowess in boxing, while Jake must ensure he has the stamina and endurance to utilize his experience and knowledge in the ring.
