Terence Crawford destroyed Errol Spence Jr. in a battle between the two greatest welterweights in boxing this year in the most anticipated fight of the year. Crawford knocked Spence down three times before securing his ninth-round TKO victory at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Crawford’s constant performance has earned him the first ranking in most pound-for-pound fighter lists. Inoue is also held in the same regard and caliber as Terence when it comes to being the number one pound-for-pound fighter.

In a recent interview professional Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk was asked who is the top pound-for-pound fighter. In the first place he said would be Terrence Crawford and in second place would be Naoya Inoue for him. Boxing fans and fighters alike would like to see a fight between them to end this debate once and for all.

Terence Crawford who currently has a record of 40-0 with 31 KOs became the four-belt era’s first undisputed welterweight champion. He is the only male boxer to be unbeaten across the four belts (WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBF) in two distinct weight classes. Crawford won all of his junior welterweight championships in 2017 before advancing to welterweight.

Naoya Inoue who currently has a record of 25-0 with 22 KOs is a former undisputed bantamweight champion who went up in weight in search of larger and better fights. His performance in Japan on July 25 was excellent enough to stake a claim for the top slot, but then Crawford Vs Spence overshadowed that fight later on.

Oleksandr Usyk is a very well-known and talented professional boxer from Ukraine. He is mainly known for his two fights with the former unified heavyweight champion  Anthony Joshua who was quite the sensation back then. Anthony was well known for being a very lean and fit heavyweight boxer which is quite uncommon.

Anthony’s training camps, boxing strategies, and executions were one of the kinds which set him apart from the herd. When Usyk and Anthony first fought on 25 September 2021. Usyk won the match with a clear unanimous decision win. Later on, in their rematch which was held on 20 Aug, 2022.

Fans were anticipating that Anthony will have his revenge this time. But Usyk won their second fight through a split decision win. This was the first time the world saw Anthony being frustrated after a match, as he threw his two belts and argued with his team.
