Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois went face to face against each other which created a lot of curiosity among boxing fans. On August 26 in Poland, the British mandatory challenger will face off against Ukraine’s heavyweight world champion to defend his WBA, IBF, and WBO titles. The two initially met during a press conference in Warsaw to promote the battle. Both parties participated in a 20-minute verbal exchange before the two fighters stood up to have their first face-off before the clash. Oleksandr Usyk was particularly hyped about returning back to Poland where it all began for the champion.
He said: “I am very glad that we have the opportunity to organize my fight in Poland, where I won my first world title seven years ago. I want to thank the Polish people who are helping Ukraine so sincerely. Therefore, I hope that my fight will become one more opportunity for Ukrainians and people of Poland to unite and strengthen our friendship.”
In 2016, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Krzysztof Glowacki to win the WBO cruiserweight title, making history in Poland. He, therefore, hopes that when he returns to defend against Dubois, it will still be an advantageous hunting area. On the other hand, the challenger has four fighting momentum. Despite the Ukrainian being the fan favorite going into the fight, it’s definitely going to be an amazing match-up.

Oleksandr Usyk was mostly expected to fight Tyson Fury next given the Brit has been mocking Usyk constantly for taking the fight. However, it seems like Usyk has planned it all out and has no plans to show desperation for the Fury fight.
Fight fans are brutally highlighting missed matches as many believe that Dubois isn’t at Usyk’s level and it’s going to be an easy fight for the defending champion. According to many, despite the size advantage, Dubois isn’t skillful or fast enough to beat Usyk.
