“Let’s make this fight”- Oscar De La Hoya proposes a multi-million dollar offer for Gervonta Davis to fight Ryan Garcia

Ryan Garcia is currently in a strong position after making his boxing comeback against Emmanuel Tagoe in April,2022. Before that the fighter was out of action for over a year. After defeating Tagoe via unanimous decision, Ryan is looking confident and has also shown interest to fight Gervonta Davis.
The rumours of this fight started a year ago when Garcia was with Mike Tyson at his YouTube podcast show, Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson. During that conversation, Garcia and Davis verbally agreed to the fight over a video call.
Davis on the other hand, is already a huge name and has proved himself on multiple occasions. Recently in May, 2022, Davis defended his WBA lightweight title against Rolando Romero.

Oscar Dela Hoya comments on the Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis fight
The former boxer and currently working as a promoter Dela Hoya recently did an interview with FightHype where he spoke about Rayn Garcia’s next fight and a potential showdown between Garcia and Davis..
De la Hoya revealed that is ready to make a huge multi-million dollar deal with David in order for him to fight Garcia in November this year. De la Hoya explained that the fight would be available on both Showtime PPV and DAZN. According to De La Hoya the revenues would be divided equally between Garcia and Davis.
“I’m ready to make Gervonta Davis a multi-multi-multi-million dollar offer to fight Ryan Garcia in November. I’m willing to make this fight available on DAZN and Showtime PPV. Split it right down the middle and let’s make this fight happen,” said De La Hoya.
De la Hoya claimed that currently the lightweight boxing division is extremely entertaining and fans are willing to put their money to see the fighters fight. And there is no big names in the division other than Garcia and Davis. In reality, the fight has attracted mixed reactions as many want the contest to take place and some say Garcia doesn’t deserve this opportunity yet.
On top of all that, the 50-50 split might not work with Davis as he is a way bigger star than Garcia. It’s obvious that, Davis will bring more eyes to the fight and deserves more share from the fight.
