Former champion turned boxing promoter, Oscar De La Hoya reveals huge payday for the fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis. De La Hoya is still under contract with Garcia and will promote his fights. However, Garcia appeared at the post-fight interview without his coach and De La Hoya which caused various speculation. The two American boxers were known to have a very healthy relationship before they fell apart..

De La Hoya appeared on the MMA Hour podcast hosted by UFC journalist Ariel Helwani where he spoke about his painful childhood and struggles. Helwani asked him about his relationship with Garcia. Replying to it, he said, “We have a lawsuit he is not suing me for money nor am I, just honor your contract. I want you to fight I want you to be a legend, there are people whispering to him that Oscar is bad. Guess what Ryan made $30 million for the fight.”

Garcia had a perfect record of 23 wins and 19 KO before his fight with Tank, who handed him his first professional loss. He has also expressed his need for a new promoter. However, he will not be able to get one as he is under contract with Golden Boy Promotions. De La Hoya has also mentioned that he did not want Garcia to fight Davis with a rehydration clause.

Garcia took to Twitter to confirm the news that he earned $30 million for his fight against Gervonta Davis in April. He faced a 7th-round TKO loss to Davis. The total earnings for the fight were almost $100 million for the event.

Ryan Garcia also talked about how Golden Boy Promotions promoted the event excellently in this generation. Despite their differences, De La Hoya promises a huge comeback for Garcia when their issue is resolved.

Garcia will look to train harder as he will return in the 140-pound to face other boxers like Rolly Romero or Teofimo Lopez. He was also seen training with welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. Ryan Garcia’s fan will be looking forward to see the young superstar’s next fight.
