Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou are set to clash on March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, this will be Ngannou’s second professional boxing bout after his debut against Tyson Fury. Subsequently, Ngannou shocked the world in his last fight against the undefeated WBC heavyweight champion. Many people even believe that Ngannou was robbed, and Fury was aware of the victory because of boxing bias. Hence, many people are excited to see the result of his second fight, but PFL CEO Peter Murray doesn’t appear worried at all.
Joshua is coming off a two-knockout victory streak against Robert Helenius and Otto Walin. Hence, Joshua appears to be locked in after his career faced some hurdles after his losses against Andy Ruiz and Oleksandr Usyk. As such, Joshua now wishes to become a three-time world champion and regain his former glory. However, Murray is confident about Ngannou winning and stated, “I believe he can beat Joshua. Francis is only going to get better in his second showing.” (H/T- Boxingscene)
The PFL CEO boldly claimed that he believes that Ngannou can defeat Joshua and is only getting better. Furthermore, Murray stated that Ngannou has been training diligently, and people underestimate him too much. In addition, Murray stated that Ngannou performed exceptionally well against Fury and will do the same against Joshua.
Subsequently, the winner of this bout can challenge the undisputed heavyweight champion, which will either be Fury or Usyk. Hence, both Ngannou and Joshua have a lot at stake in this fight, and winning this fight will impact their careers.
Eddie Hearn’s predictions for Joshua vs. Ngannou
Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has also shared his thoughts on the match-up between the former champion Joshua and the former UFC heavyweight Ngannou. Furthermore, Hearn revealed his thoughts in an interview with ‘GIVEMESPORT.COM’ and shared his predictions.

As such, Heanr stated that it is a jeopardy fight since Ngannou has so much to gain while Joshua has so much to lose. However, Hearn feels that Joshua has an advantage over Fury since they have 10-round footage of Ngannou boxing. Hence, even if Ngannou were to surprise Fury in his debut, Hearn feels Joshua will be far more prepared.
In addition, Hearn acknowledged Ngannou for his punching power and stated that he had to be taken seriously. Subsequently, Hearn stated that he believes Joshua will emerge victorious via KO or stoppage. As such, Hearn is nervous about the upcoming fight but is still confident about his fighter.
