Brian McIntyre is known for training Chris Eubank Jr. in preparation for his recent rematch against Liam Smith, which the fighter won via TKO. However, the post-figh celebration must have been halted as McIntyre was arrested on Sunday as he was about to board a flight back to the United States. Following his arrest, McIntyre was remanded in custody by magistrates on Monday, and he is set to appear before Manchester Crown Court next month to address the charges brought against him.

According to the police, McIntyre is scheduled for his next appearance at Manchester Crown Court on Monday, October 9th. The incident occurred around 10:45 BST on a Sunday as McIntyre was getting ready to board a flight back to the United States.

McIntyre is recognized as one of the most esteemed trainers in the world of boxing. He is celebrated for his instrumental role in guiding Terence Crawford to an impressive achievement, namely, Crawford becoming the first two-weight undisputed world champion in the era of four major boxing belts, achieved through his victory over Errol Spence Jr. This year, McIntyre is the running favorite for the prestigious title of ‘Trainer of the Year’ for his outstanding contributions to the sport of boxing in 2023.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford might just be the next big fight that every boxing fan is eagerly waiting for. Both fighters have verbally agreed to fight each other and it won’t be surprising to see the pair inside the ring next year.

However, Alvarez, despite his respect for Crawford, doesn’t think the fighter has taken on tough challenges in his career.  Alvarez said in an interview with TMZ, “I respect Terence Crawford. He’s a very talented fighter but he just won one big fight…If you see his record, he just beat one good fighter in Errol Spence. Other than that, I don’t think he’s beaten other great fighters like Spence.”
