Ryan Garcia has been jumping from one potential opponent to another for his next big fight. First, it started with Devin Haney, but Garcia soon decided to fight Rolando Romero instead. However, Garcia and his promoter clashed heads regarding his next opponent. Subsequently, Oscar De La Hoya wanted Garcia to fight Jose Ramirez, but the latter publicly disagreed with that. Now, it appears that Garcia has decided to fight Isaac Cruz, and this has upset Rolando. 

Initially, when Garcia dropped negotiations with Haney, he stated that the Romero fight was more lucrative. However, De La Hoya announced that the fight was not viable and that Romero priced himself out of negotiations. As such, Romero is not happy after losing one of the biggest fights of his life. Subsequently, Romero leaked his DM to Oscar De La Hoya, when the promoter reached out to him. In the message, De La Hoya stated:

Man, wtf, bro, talking sh*t about me. I have nothing but respect for you. I offered a sh*t load of money to you, and you turned it down? Go fight Pitbull for pennies, bro, and good luck.

Romero fired back at Garcia and De La Hoya on Instagram Live and stated that they wasted his time. This prompted De La Hoya to respond to him and mention how he offered Romero a lot of money.

De La Hoya also stated that Romero can now fight Cruz for pennies, compared to what he would have earned against Garcia. Subsequently, Romero responded by taking a jab at De La Hoya for his controversial fishnet photograph.

Ryan Garcia cannot seem to decide on an opponent for his next fight. This started with Haney, who later called Garcia a ‘pu**yboy’ and asked Garcia never to say his name. Similarly, now Romero has fired back at Garcia and De La Hoya after their negotiations failed. Subsequently, Romero also leaked his DM to De La Hoya, in which the promoter reached out to him. Fans reacted to Romero’s message on X.

Fans were very amused after witnessing the DMs and stated that Romero is the funniest boxer currently. Subsequently, some fans stated that the DMs proved who dropped the fight, and it was Romero. Furthermore, some fans stated that Romero is not at the level to be talking to De La Hoya in this manner.
