Ryan Garcia is set to fight Devin Haney in 12 days at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. ‘King Ry’ last competed in a big PPV fight against Gervonta Davis in April 2023. As such, his fight against Haney is also expected to have a similar impact. However, even with all the antics throughout the buildup to the fights, some reports suggest that the venue tickets did not sell properly.
Ray Jackson, a popular boxing fan known for retweeting boxing-related tweets, reiterated this. He uploaded a screenshot of the venue, which showed the current ticket availability. The screenshot suggested that the 19,000-capacity venue still had several unsold tickets. Garcia took notice of this and dismissed this claim instantly by warning Jackson.

Garcia debunked Jackson’s post with a video of him checking the availability of the venue. In the video, he swiped and tapped different sections of the arena, which displayed the available seats. Most of the sections were already sold out, and some sections had a few empty seats. This was not enough since Ryan Garcia went into a fiery rant about Jackson.
As such, Garcia did not mince his words against the boxing fan and even stated that he had another “man’s d***” in his mouth. Furthermore, ‘King Ry’ stated that after the fight, they would walk away with a lot of money, while Jackson continued to tweet. Jackson found out in the worst way imaginable about Garcia’s wrath.

Haney will defend his new WBC super lightweight title against Garcia on April 20. Furthermore, ‘The Dream’ remains undefeated and has had several title fights. However, surprisingly, the fighters’ purse between them is split 55/45 in Garcia’s favor.
This was not very surprising since Garcia is a bigger star than Haney. However, many people found this strange since Haney was the more accomplished fighter between them. Haney also agreed to this purse split to make the fight happen. In addition, the total purse remains around $80-100 million for the fight.
Garcia’s current net worth is $20 million, which means he will improve his net worth from the earnings from the upcoming fight. Garcia remains one of the most marketable boxers in recent times. If he defeats Haney, he might rematch Gervonta Davis in another spectacular showdown.
