Boxing prodigy Ryan Garcia has spoken up on Mike Tyson’s recent altercation in Jet Blue airlines where he is seen through a video punching a man who was earlier harassing him. The flight was slated to take off from San Francisco International Airport when the incident took place. The initial harasser, 36-year old Melvin Townsend III is no stranger to criminal history in his name as he has served two sentences in jail, one of them of almost two years.
The incident took place this past week on Thursday. After the incident, Tyson was seen flying down to Florida to smoke up with famous rapper Rick Ross and professional wrestling legend Ric Flair. Meanwhile, Townsend’s attorney Matt Morgan has claimed that his client was just overly excited to meet Tyson and that Tyson should’ve controlled his rage as being one of the ‘greatest fighters of all time.’

On Twitter, 23-year old Garcia, who just returned to boxing recently after more than a year of layoff, winning his last fight via unanimous decision, gave his take on the whole aforementioned Tyson situation. He said “Mike Tyson who is a legend and An Icon was being super harassed on a plane and no one told that man to relax and leave Mike alone, obviously It not cool to punch someone but really someone should have stepped in for Mike. LOVE YOU MIKE!”
Garcia right now has an undefeated professional record of 22-0 as a boxer and is known for his wins over Emmanuel Tagoe, Luke Cambell, Francisco Fonseca, Romero Duno and many more. What separates Garcia from most of his competitors is that at just 23, Garcia is already a huge name in the world of boxing because of his personal branding.
