“You have my word!” Ryan Garcia promises to fight Shakur Stevenson after Devin Haney under one stipulation

Ryan Garcia and Shakur Stevenson have engaged in their online banter for a long time. This time they appeared in the same live X’s space after firing shots at each other via tweets. Their banter started with Garcia’s accusing Stevenson’s coach of having a relationship with a girl from the USA Boxing PR team. Garcia claims that this led Stevenson to be favored during their amateur fight years ago.
Stevenson stated that during their fight his coach did not have any such relationship. After this, they went into a debate about who won the fight during the amateur tournament. Stevenson believed that he won the fight and mentioned that Ryan Garcia‘s mother was one of the judges. Subsequently, ‘The Fearless’ asked Garcia if they would fight a professional bout next. To which Garcia replied:
If I don’t get the rematch with Gervonta Davis, you have my word, we’ll fight.Ryan Garcia via X’s Space
Stevenson asked KingRy if they would fight next regardless of the outcome of his upcoming fight against Devin Haney. Garcia firmly responded by giving his word about fighting Stevenson next if he does not get a rematch against Gervonta Davis.
Hence, both of them verbally agreed to this and stated that they would meet up to discuss the details. Furthermore, Stevenson wished Garcia good luck in his upcoming fight. He also mentioned that he doesn’t think Garcia will win but will give Garcia his respect if does.
Ryan Garcia reveals Gervonta Davis gave him fake phone number
Garcia comprehensively spoke about Davis and his intent to fight him during Live X’s space session. As such, ‘KingRy’ mentioned that he lost because of the weight cut and rehydration clause. Furthermore, he boldly stated that he could easily knock out Davis if they fought at 140 pounds.
Garcia also addressed the beef he had with Gervonta Davis after their fight in April 2023. This caught some people off guard since they presumed things were okay between them. Furthermore, this was because they were seen talking cordially and exchanging numbers during the post-fight press conference.
However, Garcia revealed that Davis gave him a fake phone number when they exchanged numbers at that time. The boxer found this very strange and questioned why anybody would share a fake number. Hence, he believes that Davis has an aversion to him.
