Ryan Garcia has made some bold predictions about his upcoming title bout against the undefeated Devin Haney.

The highly anticipated fight between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney is less than three weeks away. Haney will make his first title defense of his WBC super-lightweight belt. Similarly, Garcia again found himself with an opportunity to win a championship belt after his first career defeat against Gervonta Davis. Hence, both fighters have much at stake in their upcoming fight, but Garcia appears confident about his skills.

Many people have expressed concern for Garcia due to his erratic behavior ahead of the fight. This prompted people to ask him to pull out of the fight for his well-being. On the other hand, ‘KingRy’ dismissed these concerns and stated that he trained hard every day. Moreover, he claimed no rematch would happen after his dominant performance against Haney.

DAZN uploaded an Off The Cuff video series with Garcia that they tend to do before a big fight. As such, in the video, Garcia shared his thoughts about his training camp and the fight. Furthermore, ‘KingRy’ was asked about how much of a threat Haney poses inside the ring for him. Garcia confidently responded by dismissing Haney’s skillset.

‘KingRy’ also mentioned that Vasiliy Lomachenko lost a decision against Haney because the Ukrainian fighter showed him mercy. However, he did not plan to do that and believed he would badly hurt Haney. Only time will tell if Garcia can back up his prediction for the fight.

Eddie Hearn’s predictions for Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney

While Garcia seems to have faith in himself, the Matchroom boxing promoter is confident that his fighter will emerge victorious. As such, Eddie Hearn spoke about the fight during an interview with IFL TV and stated that he believed ‘The Dream’ would win comfortably.

Hearn also spoke about how his happiness in booking a fight between two big stars. He also mentioned the concerns that people had about the fight getting canceled a few weeks ago. The promoter also remarked that Garcia appears to be mentally and physically fit right now. As such, Hearn expects the fight to happen without any setbacks.

Hearn still predicted that Haney would deliver a masterclass in the fight and would stop Garcia. In addition, he spoke about how Garcia’s fighting style does not pose any threat to Haney. Other than a puncher’s chance, Hearn believes that ‘The Dream’ will neutralize the threat and make his first title defense.
