Ryan Garcia feels more confident about knocking out Gervonta Davis in their blockbuster boxing clash. He plans to recreate Conor McGregor’s knockout of Jose Aldo. When they collide in the boxing ring, Garcia will look to put Davis away. He feels confident in his ability and power to finish the fight.
On Saturday night, Ryan Garcia will look to extend his undefeated streak from 23 to 24 with a win over Davis. Garcia revealed his plans to do what Conor McGregor did in his title unification bout against Aldo. He said, “It’s like when Conor McGregor was gonna face Jose Aldo, you just know it. You knew it was coming, and now it’s here. And now it’s gonna end before a blink of an eye, I promise you that.“
At UFC 194, Conor McGregor defeated Jose Aldo via knockout in just 13 seconds. The fight ended in the blink of an eye when Champion Jose Aldo leapt forward with a punch, but McGregor caught him with a counter left hook. After the punch landed, Aldo was on the ground, and McGregor finished him with hammer fists. Ryan Garcia will look to produce something similar against Davis when they collide in the boxing ring.
Gervonta Davis is on a 28-fight win streak with 26 knockout victories. Ryan stated that he knew the moment would come when he would face Gervonta Davis. Davis has only been “knocked down” once in his career. Even that was deemed as a slip rather than a knockdown. Both boxers possess huge knockout power, and analysts believe one will get finished inside the ring.
Ryan Garcia knew he would fight Gervonta Davis one day
American boxers Ryan Garcia and Gervonta “Tank” Davis will meet for the first blockbuster boxing clash of the year. Both fighters have never tasted defeat in their professional careers. They are known for their devastating knockout punches. Both have a combined knockout of 55. Garcia states that he knew he would square up against Davis one day.
During the interview on ShowTime, Garcia said, “Every fight, I had in the back of my mind, it’s leading up to Gervonta Davis, and that’s why maybe I’m so comfortable at this moment.” He feels confident about knocking out Davis quicker than anyone thinks. It appears that Garcia looks more confident than ever heading into the fight.
Though both have zero losses in their professional records, one fighter would taste defeat for the first time. Remarkably, few fighters have remained undefeated in their career. Rocky Marciano, Floyd Mayweather, and Khabib Nurmagomedov remained unbeaten in their careers. Only time will tell if Garcia or Davis can maintain an undefeated record throughout their career.
