Ryan Garcia recently sent shockwaves through the boxing world. He released a lengthy version of the infamous Devin Haney vs. Gervonta Davis video. For years, fans have speculated whether Davis actually dominated Haney during the sparring session. Garcia is set to take on Haney for the WBC super lightweight title on April 20th in New York City. Both fighters have trash-talked each other throughout the buildup to the fight.

Furthermore, they don’t miss an opportunity to fire back at each other during press conferences and social media. As such, Garcia released the infamous video of Haney’s sparring session with Gervonta Davis, which took place nearly a decade ago. Many people have different stories about the session, but Ryan Garcia maintained that Davis beat up Haney and released the footage. The footage showed ‘Tank’ turning the tables on Haney, landing powerful shots that caused ‘The Dream’ to stagger.

Hence, Garcia shared the video on his Instagram account, and many people commented. While some fans viewed the footage as an example of Davis’ boxing ability, others argued that the footage was unfair because Haney was 16 at the time. Nevertheless, the claims of Tank dominating Haney appear real after all this time.

Furthermore, Garcia had previously revealed details of the sparring session during the pre-fight press conference. Subsequently, Haney’s father, Bill Haney, responded that Floyd Mayweather should have shown Garcia the video of him and Haney sparring. This made Garcia reveal the video and prove Bill Haney wrong.

Garcia leaked the sparring video, which went viral on social media and caught Haney’s attention. The video shows Davis dominating Haney and pressuring him against the ropes. Subsequently, Haney reacted to the video, stating that he was a young kid at the time.

Furthermore, Haney pointed out that he still went toe-to-toe with Davis and was not the same fighter today. In comparison, Haney stated that the world saw the current Garcia quit against Davis. Hany went on to assert that Garcia would quit again in their highly anticipated fight on April 20. Haney has promised to defeat Garcia, citing ‘King Ry’s’ lack of growth as a boxer.

Haney has never lost a fight in his professional career and. is coming off a victory over Regis Prograis. Subsequently, Garcia recently returned to form after his KO victory against Oscar Duarte in the eighth round. Before the fight, Garcia suffered his first professional loss against Davis in April 2023. Only time will tell who emerges victorious on April 20.
