The weirdness has been at an all-time high leading up to one of the biggest mega-fights. WBC Super lightweight champ, Devin Haney meets Ryan Garcia on April 20th live on DAZN. Garcia challenges the 31-0 undefeated stat of the rival, gunning for his hardware. Ahead of this, Haney commented on Garcia’s not having to switch up his pace at all or doing anything different over the years. On claims of father Bill Haney “pi*ping” out his fame, the pro boxer had also accused Garcia of drug use.

‘King Ry’ scoffed at the drug accusations at the Palladium in Times Square pre-fight presser. Devin Haney had gibed at his voice breaking up due to a coke intake, which he did rebut. Garcia later doubled down on his claims on X, voicing his innocence. However, his franticness saw new heights with his assertion that the devil had claimed him. Here’s what his brother Sean Garcia has voiced about it:

For everyone asking me about my brother Ryan, I’m sorry I can’t tell you guys if he’s okay or not...I love my brother with all my heart but I do not condone what he’s doing...I have my own life and he does what he does with his.

A 6-second reel from his end showed a shaky shot of his erratic behavior, sprawling around. This was followed by disturbing messages with mentions of ‘Satan’ and ‘666’; suggesting a cult inclusion. It had fans wondering if Ryan Garcia is dead. His brother unequivocally disapproved of such behavior. He also said that he has his fight to deal with.

Garcia, of Golden Boy Promotions, is 24-1 at the moment. Facing the #7 P4P for the Ring Magazine, he has a big challenge in Devin Haney. More recently Garcia broke the silence by having his phone and social media access rebuked. However, for all purposes, the fight is seemingly still on.

The fallout to Ryan Garcia’s situation: How have others reacted?

Ryan Garcia is to take the fight to undefeated Devin Haney. Rebounding with a stunning KO victory over Oscar Duarte last December, the 25-year-old takes it a step further. He accordingly fights for Haney’s WBC Super lightweight gold.

In the lead-up, video reels from the boxer’s end disturbingly hinted at assault and foul play by probable satan group cultists. Enthusiasts and fans wondered if he had been hacked; although all his social media feeds are up.

When asked about it, the father and coach – Henry Garcia revealed he is okay but “trolling the wrong way“. He adamantly denied any issues were going on, hinting that the boxer was doing all this to get the public talking.

It falls in the line of “no press is bad press.”

Ex-partner Andrea Celina took to her IG stories to pen down a heartfelt message. Announcing the birth of their son, Henry Leo Garcia, the boxer had also nudged at a split between the two. Casting a spotlight on Ryan Garcia’s real troubles, she wrote –

If all my followers who are believers can you please pray for Ryan… he may seem fine but he is not...his is not a troll; I’m genuinely concerned and so is all his family members; we are not part of any of this and want him to get better, but this IS REAL. Pray for him.

Notably, Garcia has also professed his love for multiple women online, taking to social media platforms. All the while, wanting to give his marriage a second chance. Given the weirdness of the course of events, Celina’s plea does seem to hold some mettle.

Even fighters Mike Perry and Dillon Danis pitched in on the importance of having a hack-proof mental state and wished the boxer well. However, if one were to believe in his father’s version of statements, then none of it should be taken seriously.
