American Boxing legend Terence “Bud” Crawford, recently made history, in-ring. The Southpaw scored the undisputed welterweight title against Errol Spence Jr.. With this stint, he is now thus the first/only male boxer to hold all four varied titles, in two different weight classes. The 40-0, 31 KOs boxer has held tenure as (3) WBO Champion. Additionally, twice as lineal and undisputed champion – WBA, IBF, WBO, WBC. But the pathway to this glory was not paved easily for Crawford. He has opened up about it a few times now.

Time and again, Crawford has spoken about his struggles with his mother, Debbie Crawford. In the resurfaced video, Crawford’s mother was candidly overt about not having faith in her son’s abilities. Even Crawford’s trainer, Brian McIntyre has mentioned the same, stating that she had a twisted and roundabout way of motivating. Speaking on a segment about the abuses he faced, to “Fists of Fury” (fistsoffury.co), the boxer had said:

I grabbed the belt and told her, you ain't about to hit me no more all that's out the window...At a point in time it just became numb to me. It ain't going to hurt. It ain't nothing but a belt or something...

The antics and the mental abuse did not stop there. Crawford did not have the support of his mother but did go on to showcase his true abilities and earn leniency. After becoming the undisputed champion, she revealed that she used to incite fights between her son and other kids. She would proposition a reward of $10 to any kid who could defeat a kid ‘bud’.

In interviews with CBS Mornings, and with fellow boxer Mike Tyson, Crawford said that validation did not intrigue him. Growing up with these standards, his primal urge was to always win and earn a fortune. Although recently stripped, now, the boxer with a 40-fight win-streak, and father of seven, is a legend in his own right.

Legendary global boxing sensation Terence Crawford, and Shakur Stevenson were the new additions for Prime. Influencer-boxers Logan Paul and KSI are the brainchildren behind the $10 Billion energy-consumable sporting product. The faces of Prime showed great business acumen by extending their value and joining up with notable peers. This includes the likes of football giants F.C. Bayern Munich and F.C. Barcelona. Additionally, combative sports entities like Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski were also included. As of late, Crawford is a new joiner.

Very recently, KSI, Paul, Prime, and Crawford posted about Prime’s new partnership with ‘Bud’. They took to Instagram to announce the partnership. On their official page, the company itself announced that they were “proud” of the new partnership. During the Errol Spence Jr.- Crawford fight at the sold-out T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the bout saw a new affiliate; Paul’s energy drink Prime was one of the leading brands to be seen as a sponsor. Prime sponsored the eventuality of the winner, Crawford, who wore a chain emblazoned with the Prime name around his neck. The boxer made his walkout to the ring with rapper Eminem.

There’s a craze for Prime among young people. It’s morphing into one of the world’s most successful beverage ventures. With the inclusion of Crawford and others, the popularity is only going to go up from here on.
