Terence Crawford has hilariously compared his fight with Errol Spence Jr. to the one sided game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers.

The Dallas Cowboys’ recent performance has also reached the realm of boxing’s squared circle. Subsequently, by the fourth quarter, the Green Bay Packers were able to establish their dominance in the NFL playoffs. While the sports world watches, in the world of boxing, the Packers’ control of the game caused welterweight champion Terence Crawford to make a hilarious comparison.

Hence, it is safe to say the NFL game and the Packers’ performance reminded Crawford of the Errol Spence Jr. match. Subsequently, Crawford didn’t waste any time sharing what he was feeling and took to social media. Similarly, Crawford tweeted that the game reminded him of his fight with Spence in July 2023.

Hence, Crawford was surprised by the way the Packers took charge of the game and referenced it to take another shot at his opponent. As such, Crawford stated:

Crawford threw shade at Spence Jr. because of his recent claims of not performing well because of his eyesight. Spence Jr. underwent an eye surge for his cataract and claimed that he was suffering from this issue before the fight. Hence, he claimed that he got hit by Crawford’s jabs throughout the fight because of his poor eyesight. 

However, Crawford responded by stating that every boxer has their eyes checked before any fight. Subsequently, Crawford did not mention Spence Jr. in that particular tweet, but it was evident that it was about Spence.

After years of speculation, Crawford and Spence Jr. met for the first time in the ring last July. Fans were hoping to see ‘Bud’ and ‘The Truth’ put on a show like they had never seen before. Instead, it was a one-way street. On fight night in Crawford’s hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts, he put on a masterful performance against the previously undefeated Spence Jr.

After the fight, Spence Jr. was linked to retirement, but instead, the former champion decided to stay in the game and activate their rematch clause. However, months later, nothing changed, and Crawford also had to vacate his IBF title since he could not fight a mandatory defense against Jaron Ennis.

Furthermore, Spence Jr.’s eye surgery has further delayed their rematch, while Crawford is stuck waiting. Subsequently, Crawford recently stated on ‘X’ that he has done it all, is happy it is over, and wishes Spence Jr. well.
