Terence “Bud” Crawford made history by winning the undisputed welterweight title against Errol Spence, Jr. In doing so, he became the first/only male boxer to hold all four titles in two different classes. Accordingly, the boxer recently paraded his belt collection at his mother’s house with much grandeur.

On the other side, Errol Spence commented about his devastating loss against Crawford. Spence maintained that he needed some important surgery. He also revealed the lingering issues he suffered as the reason for losing against Crawford. This is what Crawford wrote as a reply:

The tweet of Crawford made a fan comment, “Y’all reaching for trash talk on Spence.” After years of build-up, Spence came out aggressively in the opening round of their bout with body shots. Fighting steady as southpaw first, Crawford scored an early 2nd-round knockdown. Crawford dropped Spence twice in round 7. In the end, Spence could not launch any offense and Crawford easily dismantled him.

Despite Crawford later lauding a weight-drained Spence Jr. for stepping up, the bout was all but one-sided. While the context for such a comment is still unknown, the matter has garnered much surefire reaction.

In the last outing, Terrence Crawford grounded Errol Spence Jr. (28-1, 22 KOs) thrice before a stopping him in the later rounds. Hence, it would be tough for Showtime Boxing to sell a prospective rematch after the one-sided battle.

With 2023 over and the broadcasting paradigm-shifting, no confirmed rematch exists. But fans have the commonality of opinion that Spence Jr. would be set on it just the same and that “Bud” tweeting is all about it.

Spence, 33, is signed to the PBC. The company’s co-founder and CEO Al Haymon reportedly probes platforms to stage his many fighters, including Spence. With Showtime now moot, the match is down the drain. But in November, Crawford had confirmed the rematch would be his next fight. Accordingly, a few fans have called him fraudulent on this. Most, however, have gibed at Spence Jr. on losing again or incurring an injury.
