“I wouldn’t get out of bed”- Tommy Fury vehemently rejects Jake Paul’s offer for a fight in the UK

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury

Jake Paul is known to be a skilled fighter but has yet to get Tommy Fury, thanks to the latter’s travel issues. He hasn’t dropped a game and has defeated some formidable opponents. He only got professional in 2020, despite having fought prior MMA fighters and boxing champions. He has made tremendous progress and shown promise since then. Paul’s current prominence may only be partially recognised. Among those he has targeted and challenged to a fight are Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson, and Canelo Alvarez.

Jake and Fury were supposed to fight again. The well-known female boxer Amanda Serrano will battle on the undercard of Paul’s rematch, which will take place on August 6 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, according to Paul’s announcement in June.

Jake has claimed he is looking for a new opponent, but Fury has said he is confident their fight will take place and has issued a statement following his withdrawal from his fight against Paul. He stated, “This is something that myself or my team could have never anticipated happening...

This situation has been left with my lawyers as being denied entry to a country is obviously a very serious issue and it needs to subsequently be resolved. I am confident this fight will happen when this issue gets resolved and we come to a solution. I want to clarify that I will fight in a neutral country that both parties can enter. This can be any time, any place anywhere.”

Paul post stated, “I’m confident you are a scared little boy who doesn’t want to fight or understand business. I will pay you $500K to fight me in the UK. I will do it shortly after August 6. You accept?”

To which Fury stated that his response was astonishing,” I wouldn’t get out of bed to fight you for $500k. Let me know when you’re ready to have a serious conversation.”

When Paul last competed in December, Woodley was filling in for Fury and Paul defeated Woodley in Tampa. Paul had already defeated Woodley in August. Paul won’t make a public announcement until Thursday, despite Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated reported on Tuesday that he was close to finalising a contract to replace his training partner Hasim Rahman Jr.
