Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury managed to reel back in among major headlines this week. UFC champions Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya stole the show when the duo met each other in real life. However, Fury also managed to steal the headlines with his mocking style of talk directed at Jon Jones. Fury and Jones feuded on Twitter in recent months. It started when Joe Rogan picked Jones to defeat Fury in a non-boxing bout.
Fury stated that he was not interested in an MMA bout but would like to welcome Jon Jones to the boxing ring. Adesanya and Jones had a friendly light-sparring session during their meet-up. Fury went on Instagram and wrote, “Imagine the amount of right hands I’d catch you with here.” Israel remained the more active fighter from the light-sparring as Jones barely moved. Fury took this as an opportunity to mock the UFC heavyweight champion.
Tyson Fury remains without an opponent after the super fight with Oleksandr Usyk got canceled due to failed contract negotiations. Anthony Joshua, Daniel Dubois, and Francis Ngannou remain other options for the WBC heavyweight champion. If Fury can beat Usyk, the British champion could be regarded as the greatest heavyweight boxer in modern times.
On the other hand, Jon Jones will fight Stipe Miocic later this year. Jones wants to leave a grand legacy behind as a fighter. He remains the most dominant fighter in UFC history and its greatest champion. The double champion status secured his legacy as the GOAT of MMA. However, fans do not know how long Jones will fight in the UFC.
Jon Jones replies to Tyson Fury

After the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury took shots at Jon Jones, the UFC champion went on social media to fire back. The UFC champion remains confident in his ability to fight Fury in the boxing ring.
Jones wrote, “I have no reason to doubt myself against any man. Give me a few months in a boxing camp. I like my chances, I may just knock you out.” Jones has never feared anyone in his career.
The saga between heavyweight champions continues to entertain the combat sports world. Fury remains unlikely to enter the MMA cage, and Dana White might not let Jones fight in the boxing ring.
