The undefeated WBC champion, Tyson Fury, had to pull out of his undisputed heavyweight fight against Oleksandr Usyk. This happened after Fury sustained a massive cut above his eye during a recent sparring session. The fight was set to happen on February 17 but is postponed to May 18 instead. In addition, the cancellation of the fight has led to some heated exchanges of words between the two camps.

Following Fury’s eye injury, he and Usyk appeared on Saturday’s episode of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. During the episode, Turki Alalshikh revealed Fury’s new target date as May 18, as well as a reported $10 million fine on both fighters’ contracts in the event of another delay. Furthermore, Tyson Fury went on an explosive rant about Usyk’s promoter after his recent comments about Fury. As such, Fury stated

Hence, this triggered Fury, and he proclaimed that he was not a coward and had never run away from a fight in his career.

In addition, Fury stated that he can break Usyk’s promoter teeth for calling his wife a bi**h, and he can do that because he isn’t a coward. Subsequently, Usyk’s promoter stated that he had not called his wife a bi**h.
