Fury, in an interview, revealed that he was unable to fall asleep with the lights turned on in the room.

When I had my first fight back, not a lot of people know this, but I used to sleep with a light on. Because, I couldn’t be in the dark alone,” said Tyson Fury. He continued, “I don’t know what was gonna happen. Who was going to come into me? But I don’t know what was happening,” said Fury as he hints at an anxiety attack. “I had an anxiety attack and I thought I was having a heart attack. I thought I was definitely gonna die, and I didn’t die. And, it was just like the most feeling of terror and fear I’ve ever felt.

Tyson Fury also revealed the regularity of his anxiety attacks. He said, “I used to get it quite regularly. Whatever your worst nightmares are, they come to reality in an anxiety attack. I haven’t had an anxiety attack since that day.

Heavyweight boxing legend Tyson Fury has had a rough past disregarding his success. His struggles with depression and anxiety are noteworthy to his life story. Following the victory against Wladimir Klitschko, the fighter went into a deep state of depression. His health and well-being were compromised due to it. Fury also had a close call with death. He reveals it on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience podcast, which has now gone viral.

Tyson Fury said, “I was sitting here, 400 pounds, drug addict and alcoholic. I never took a drug in my life until I got to 27.” When asked about the drug of choice in his vice, he said, “Cocaine, was the usual one.”

“I’d go very low at times and I start thinking all these crazy thoughts,” said Tyson Fury. “I was in it [His car] and I was on the highway. There’s a massive bridge that crosses the motorway. I got the car up to a 190 miles per hour, I was heading towards that bridge. I just wanted to die so bad. I heard a voice say ‘No, don’t do this Tyson,” said Fury as he recalls this traumatic moment.
