Anthony Joshua is currently on his way to retribution after he lost his heavyweight title to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021. In the rematch fight, AJ underperformed and couldn’t get back his title. However, the Brit has gained some winning momentum after beating Jermaine Franklin earlier this year. That wasn’t enough as Joshua is currently getting ready to fight again on August 12th.

His first camp was held in Derrick James’ gym in Dallas, Texas, and this was going to be his first fight under the new trainer’s guidance.
In preparation for his upcoming bout, Anthony Joshua has since returned to Dallas.

AJ showed his willingness for training sessions on Monday by posting a video of himself using a mattress as a heavy bag on social media. Shortly after the clip was uploaded to Instagram, his rival Tyson Fury responded and left a comment. Essentially, the WBC heavyweight champion wrote, “Proper sausage.” Furthermore, he included three “laughing while crying” emojis.

Fury has been mocking AJ since the Brit rejected his offer to fight last December and it seems like he’s not stopping anytime soon.

AJ has been questioned a lot by fight fans since his unfortunate loss against Oleksandr Usyk. Since then the fighter has not been able to recover much but it seems like he’s definitely on the right path.

Recently, a video has been going viral of AJ’s hurting his foot while training. While motivating himself for his upcoming fight, AJ said: “I want to become a three-time heavyweight champion of the world. Want to test myself. I have been through a lot and I want to see what I have left to give. Im trying to find an environment that pushes me onto higher highs. Now let’s go. Who the f*** is next? I am ready to roll.”

Joshua revealed that due to intense training sessions in a gym with temperatures reaching 40 degrees, he experienced significant skin peeling, a result of being unaccustomed to such extreme heat.
