Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk‘s highly anticipated heavyweight unification fight has faced several hurdles. Initially, the fight was set to happen on December 23, but it was shifted to February 17, and the event was replaced by Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin. This was done because it was deemed necessary that Fury take more time to recover after the Francis Ngannou fight. Subsequently, the event was again postponed to May 18 after Fury sustained a serious injury above his eyes.
Fury sustained the injury during a sparring session when he got hit by his opponent’s elbow. Hence, Fury required immediate medical attention and had to get significant stitches to close the wound above his eye. While fans are worried for Tyson Fury and are praying for his speedy recovery, they were also caught off guard by Fury’s body. Back in October, several people criticized Fury for being out of shape while fighting Ngannou.

In addition, people suggested that Fury did not take the fight seriously, and many people believe he lost the fight but got favored by the judges. However, Fury is taking this fight very seriously and has got back to shape. Furthermore, there is a clear and stark contrast between his body in October 2023 and now.
As such, Turki Alalshikh himself sat down with Fury, and Usyk, along with his promoter, who also joined them virtually for an interview. Subsequently, all the people present there agreed that the next date of the fight would be May 18, and they announced a liability clause if anybody pulled out again.
Fans react to Tyson Fury’s body transformation
Fury has gone through several body transformations in his career, and the first notable one was when he lost 130 pounds. Furthermore, Fury has a history of battling with depression and having bad mental health, which has made him spiral negatively.
However, Fury was able to overcome these lows and even bring himself back to shape. Subsequently, Fury has again undergone a similar transformation after his fight against Ngannou and appears quite ready to fight Usyk. In addition, fans reacted by stating, “He’s probably on the juice, but that still would’ve been a beautiful, elegant performance.”

Fans were impressed by Fury’s new physique for the Usyk fight. However, fans also began lamenting about the injury that Fury sustained, as they wanted to witness the fight at the earliest. Furthermore, some fans joked about Fury losing body fat because he keeps running away from Usyk.
