Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury will fight in a crossover boxing match when they square off in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The bout will be Ngannou’s professional boxing debut after signing with PFL. As such, Fury’s rival and former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has shared his prediction for the bout.

In an interview with Inside Fighting, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ was asked about the Tyson Fury vs. Ngannou fight. Subsequently, Wilder stated that he isn’t aware of Ngannou’s condition, training, or progress and cannot give a proper deduction of the outcome. Yet, when the interviewer asked Wilder who he was rooting for, Wilder stated:

I’m going with my African brother. Man, Ngannou. I’m going with Ngannou. Hell yeah, we are going with the knockout. Let’s go, Ngannou!

Wilder stated that Ngannou could potentially KO Fury since he is known for his KO-punching power. Wilder also acknowledged that he was able to KO Fury, but Fury instantly made a comeback by getting up unfazed. Hence, Wilder indirectly admitted that even if Ngannou can KO Fury, he might just get back up and recuperate.

However, regardless, Wilder appears to fully support Ngannou because of their shared African heritage. This might be to further antagonize Fury. After their trilogy fight, both rivals continue to taunt each other.
