Ukrainian amateur boxer Oleg Prudky passes away defending his country against Russia
Oleg Prudky, a Ukrainian amateur boxing superstar who has won the championship twice, is no more as the fighter lost his life fighting the Russian invasion. Prudky along with four other members of Cherkasy Police Special forces died in the attack that took place on Sunday.
The team was responsible for defending Ukrainian borders in the local region of Cherkasy. The Ukrainian police revealed the news about the incident and issued an official statement which said. “On May 22, defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, our colleagues, police officers of the Special Operations Department of the KORD Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police, were killed.”
Prudky was a married man and had a lovely family back home. His wife, Mariana and two young daughters were waiting for him to back from the war but unfortunately, the reality is extremely sad and disturbing.

Oleg Prudky’s wife and family mourns on social media

Following the news, Prudky’s wife took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to her husband. He explained that war is responsible for many losses and now she will have to live with her husband and will miss him lifelong. She wrote :
” War – it takes away the best. I don’t believe, I don’t believe that you are no more. What I will not hear – Good morning darling! I’m fine! How are the girls? And the most important thing is that you will never tell me again – I LOVE you. You were like a bright sun, an example for your children, who adore you so much and ask you every time, and when dad comes. How can I tell them that they will never see you again?You were an example for your friends and colleagues. You are my ANGEL. I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH.”
Oleg Prudky is truly a hero and he will not be forgotten in generations to come. Being an amateur boxing champion, his victories and achievements will always be there. His hard work and determination and legacy will definitely inspire the athletes from Ukraine to take the same path of honour and respect.
