Andy Ruiz
Andy Ruiz shares his training clips leading to his next Heavyweight bout in September 2022. Ruiz was previously scheduled to fight Tyrone Spong which according to Triller Fight Club was supposed to happen on July 16 in Mexico City. However, now it has declared the fight has been called off. Now Ruiz is all set to take on Luis Ortiz later this year on September 4th inside the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, California. The fight was years in the making and is finally going to take place in September.
Ruiz shocked the world by becoming the first Mexican world heavyweight champion by defeating Anthony Joshua in 2019. The fight took place in Madison Square Garden and Ruiz gave fight fans the biggest upsets in recent years. However, the Mexican failed to keep his belt after losing against Joshua in their rematch in the same year.
In the fight, Ruiz was not in shape and gained weight and was sloppy. He weighed 283.5 pounds and wasn’t not that effective with his boxing. On the contrary, Joshua was extremely determined in the second fight and beat Ruiz by many quick combos and hits.

Andy Ruiz hardcore training sessions ahead of his fight

Ruiz recently posted some training clips of him in his official Instagram story. The fighter in the video can be seen fully focused and training vigorously with a target in his mind.
It was evident that Ruiz lost his title because of not coming into the fight fully prepared. His lack of fitness and speed cost him the belt which he earned by hard work. Ruiz is now very cautious about his training and what he needs to do in order to get a shot at the gold again.
Since the Joshua fight, Ruiz has fought Chris Arreola and won the fight via unanimous decision. On the other hand, Ortiz had bounced back from his last loss against Deontay Wilder. The fighter is currently on a two fight win streak and will like to continue it in the future too.
